Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation Awards Grant to North Carolina Youth Orchestra Charlotte NC – The North Carolina Youth Orchestra (NCYO) is excited to announce that it has received a generous grant from the Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation. The award was presented on September 23 by Sue Powers and Cathy Mann of the Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation. Accepting on behalf of NCYO were April Dunn, Director of Finance, and Dr. Stan Getz, NCYO Board Member. The Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation has a long-standing tradition of supporting nonprofits that make an impact in North Carolina and South Carolina. Its commitment to organizations like NCYO gives local children and families access to opportunities that enrich their lives and strengthen the community. “We are grateful for the Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation’s generosity and their dedication to investing in the future of young people,” said April Dunn “Their support will allow us to introduce music education to more elementary students in our area.” Funding from this grant will support NCYO’s Musical Pathways Initiative, which provides elementary-aged students with early access to music instruction, professional musician-led assemblies in schools, and monthly Instrument Discovery Days.
